European Research and Education Collaboration with Asia

The European Research and Education Collaboration with Asia (EURECA) project, aims to establish an alliance in research and education between European and Asian countries by identifying major areas of co-operation between them. This project is funded by the European commission and the consortium comprises 16 major educational institutes which includes 9 from Europe and 7 from Asia. The programme is managed by the Mälardalen University, Sweden.

Students who take part in this programme are expected to excel in future, globally. Partners of the consortium have special requirements in the areas of study such as Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Business studies and Management Sciences. They will pay special attention to the mobility needs in the identified thematic fields. Sustainable development, Urban and Regional Planning, Architecture, and Disaster Management are given their due recognition.

Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window

The Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window (EM ECW), launched in 2007 by Europe Aid cooperation Office was a scheme for co-operation and mobility in higher education that was implemented by the Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture (EACEA)

The EM ECW will be fostering co-operation in the field of higher education between the European Union and Third-Countries.
